My name is Rebeca Grieco and I am a professional crochet artist and designer from San Antonio, Texas. My passion for needle crafts began at a tender age, nurtured by my grandmother who introduced me to the wonders of sewing and embroidery. In elementary school, I discovered the art of crochet, and from that moment on, I was captivated by the process of transforming a simple string into something both practical and beautiful.

Living in the warm climate of South Texas, I have honed my craft to focus on using natural fibers like cotton, linen, and wool. Not only are they robust and sturdy, but their breathability adds to the comfort and functionality of the finished pieces.

I have been honored to see my designs featured in esteemed publications such as Crochet World magazine, Crochet! magazine and I Like Crochet digital magazine. Additionally, my presence on Ravelry.com allows me to connect with like-minded artisans and share my passion with the global crochet community.

The pinnacle of my artistic journey was reached in August of 2022, when the honor of having my design grace the cover of Crochet World magazine bestowed upon me. It was a moment of validation and pride, a testament to the countless hours I’ve poured into perfecting my craft.

Beyond my personal accomplishments, I am an active member of both the Crochet Guild of America and the Alamo Rows Crochet Guild of San Antonio. Being part of these wonderful communities has not only enriched my own skills but also provided me with the opportunity to inspire and be inspired by fellow crochet enthusiasts. The main goal of both these organizations is to spread knowledge of the craft, teach the craft and donate finished items to various charitable organizations.
